About Ivy and Jane
A small shop. A small workshop.
Our story
How Ivy and Jane started.
Ivy and Jane started as a small online shop. We picked stuff we wanted in our own homes, put it on a shelf, and people bought it. A few years later we run it full time, both here and as a top-rated seller on Amazon.
Somewhere in there we started making things too. Harsh Gear is our outdoor line. It started with a hand-stitched license holder. We made the first one in our kitchen because paper permits don't hold up in the rain. We still hand-stitch them today.
"We didn't set out to start a brand. We set out to build the things we'd want to use ourselves." The Ivy and Jane studio
These days, Ivy and Jane is the home for everything we sell. Harsh Gear, the home goods, the kitchen tools, the pet stuff. The mix changes with the seasons. The standard stays the same. We sell what we'd want for our own house.
We make a few things. We curate a few more. Then we ship them all over the country.
Principles
Three things we won't compromise.
Material first
For the things we make, the leather, thread, and window are picked for the worst day. If it doesn't hold up, it doesn't ship.
Curated, not catalog
For the things we sell, every product is hand-picked for our own homes. We don't list anything we wouldn't keep on our own shelf.
Built to be used
This isn't decor for the sake of decor. Everything in our shop has to earn its place.
